The Hockey Project are launching an exciting opportunity for next season for girls and boys in years 4 up to 11 from September with a new hockey academy which will take place on Monday evenings.
Before then there will be three taster sessions at Bede's Senior School near Hailsham in the next month on April 28, May 12 and May 19 and Brighton & Hove Hockey Club members can book places with a discount. The cost is £30 for three sessions or £20 for BHHC members.
The sessions will give players a taste of what to expect in an academy session, focusing on individual skill acquisition with some game play. There will be limited spaces and given on a first come, first served basis. "This academy does not interfere with clubs: it is focused on individual progression and would fit well alongside club training to help your child develop further," says organiser Chris Borsoi.
The Hockey Project ran two successful hockey camps in February and April at Blatchington Mill School and will be looking to deliver more camps during May half-term and the summer holidays. The dates of these will confirmed in the coming weeks.
