Club has put in place strict measures at the Blatchington School pitches to protect members

Brighton and Hove Hockey Club members are reminded that all participants in the August training sessions are required to adhere to the Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) prepared by the club following England Hockey's Step 2 guidelines for a phased and safe return to hockey post-Covid 19.

These safety procedures are in place for arriving at the Blatchington Mill School facility, entering and leaving the pitches and for social distancing.

You must social distance on arrival at the pitches and please do not wander onto the pitches together without using hand sanitiser as some have been observed to do. During training you must social distance.

A lot of careful thought and planning has gone into the phased return to training and playing at Blatchington and it is vital the guidelines are adhered to as usage of the pitches could be revoked.

All BHHC members have been asked to sign individual participation consent forms by England Hockey to take part in hockey activity - they are quick and easy to fill out online. The link to the form is https://forms.office.com/FormsPro/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=NvkYmuiQxU--asEa8eSc6g-NqKCAUipGoe_luyiEaiZUMlE4NUVKRDZENzJGNUtNVEE5NVlXME9ETC4u

Please continue to self-assess before you come to the club. Do not attend if you have any Covid-19 symptoms.

The club's committee and club captains ask for your help in making sure all participants observe the procedures and protocols to allow training to be carried out safely and thank you for your co-operation.

For any queries please contact the club captains Marie Jarvis and Pete Stevens and they will help and advise.
