Newcomers Jack Jones and Ali Higginson both scored twice as Brighton and Hove men's 1s came back from 4-2 down to draw their latest pre-season game at Havant on Saturday.

Jones was a lively presence and threat to the Havant defence, scoring twice in the first half after the home side had gone ahead from short corners while Higginson, formerly with Bath University, poached two close-range goals in the final ten minutes as Brighton's superior fitness told.

Havant will be among Brighton's opponents in the MHL Division One South again this season. Saturday's 4-4 draw follows a 2-2 draw at Lewes and defeat at Premier Division Oxted in the opening friendly fixtures.

Brighton continue their build-up to the new men's national league season - which starts away to Oxford Hawks on Saturday September 26 - with a match at Lewes on Saturday.
