Support for coaches and access to courses on the agenda

The England Hockey Coach Development Team are inviting coaches from Brighton & Hove Hockey Club to attend a coaching forum via Zoom on Tuesday May 21 from 7pm to 8pm to discuss the following:

  • What support we can provide to Clubs to identify, develop and retain the people who lead and support your hockey sessions.
  • Find out more information on the journey to access Level Two courses for your coaches who need to lead independent sessions next season.
  • How Clubs can access cheaper and more accessible coach development support for your coaches through our Tailored Coach Development Programme.

Purpose: Aim to raise awareness to clubs and their coaches about the importance of delivering safe hockey and the role of responsible practitioners in a coaching environment. To share information on the different coach development opportunities available to those who lead and support hockey sessions.

Aimed at: Anyone in clubs involved in identifying, developing and retaining people who deliver hockey sessions.

Post forum: Clubs will be provided with the slides and a recording of the session.

Format: Zoom session facilitated by our Coach Development Team to include sharing of key information plus real life examples of tailored coach development support that Clubs have accessed over the last year. Opportunity for clubs to ask questions linked to their own individual wants and needs.
