Four Brighton & Hove players have helped Collyer's College, Horsham, to be crowned Sussex Tier 3 Schools Under-18 boys champions.

Patrick Ford, James Wood, Jacob Ridley and goalkeeper Anthony Child were members of the Collyer's team who now progress to the regional round against the winners from Kent and Surrey at the beginning of March.

After a 2-1 win over Hurstpierpoint Collyer's drew 2-2 with Lancing and then won 1-0 against Seaford in what was effectively the decider. Collyer's topped the group with seven points, one ahead of Seaford.

John Burroughs, Collyer's Head of Sports Academy and coach, said: "Each game was a thrilling encounter and the whole team were unbelievable. All within the Collyer's Sports Academy could not be prouder of this group. Harry Bubb scored a worldie in our win over Seaford. A reverse hit while falling over having beaten four players, he still managed to score in the bottom right corner."
