The club congratulates Jon Beale, who recently returned with silver for England B MO75s at the 2025 MH European Championships T4 SoM held in Ludwigsburg, Germany on 21 - 30 August.

The club also congratulates Phil Withers, who recently represented Wales MO75s at the 2025 MH European Championships T4 held in Ludwigsburg on 21 - 30 August.

Jon says: "Phil played for Wales MO75 who were defeated in the semi-final by the reigning world champions, England. This match was one of the tournament’s highlights as Wales, the underdogs, held England to a 0-0 draw. Phil was tasked with running one against England’s short corner specialist, Santa Singh, who has 46 Masters caps and has scored 65 goals. Phil was out like a whippet on each short corner and prevented every attempt at goal. This was an impressive feat. Wales were leading at penalty flicks 2-0 when they hit the post on their third attempt, and England managed to secure a 3-2 victory.

Jon played as centre forward for England B M075s in the parallel Spirit of Masters tournament, and secured a silver medal. England B were defeated 2-1 in the final by the full Australian international side in what proved to be an exciting match.

Phil and Jon, both part of the M8s, had an exhausting tournament with six full games in eight days, but they thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of international MO75s hockey."
