Have a say and play a part in your club's future, stand for organisational and captaincy roles, at June 19 annual general meeting

Attention all Brighton and Hove Hockey Club members

The current BHHC Committee would like to advertise all of the roles for the committee places and club officers for the 2018-19 season to give everyone the opportunity to volunteer their services before the elections at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which takes place on Tuesday June 19 at 7pm at The Nevill pub (round the corner from the clubhouse) in Nevill Road, Hove.

The AGM is your chance to have a say and play a part in your club's future, to hear about significant progress and developments on and off the pitch, to ask questions, make your views known and to put yourself forward as someone who can help in the organisation and management of a rapidly growing and successful club - so please make every effort to attend.

Listed below are the roles which make up the committee and club officers and we would like to have proposed role-holder names before the AGM.

Some of the existing role-holders will be standing for re-election, but there are a number of spaces yet to be filled and new positions to consider in our progressive and expanding club. Any member can apply for any of the roles, so we are inviting you to come forward if you feel that you can fill a particular role either alone or in a joint capacity. More than one person can be proposed for a role – the election of officers will take place via a vote at the AGM. Nominations can also be made on the night.

This is a great opportunity to show your passion for the club and get involved, help us grow on the success of the past season and – above all - to make sure that Brighton and Hove Hockey Club remains a great place to play hockey.

We already have a friendly, helpful, committed and dedicated team who make the club function efficiently and successfully and we want to help us improve further next season.

If you feel that you can help with any of these rewarding roles and add some great ideas, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please nominate the post that you would like to be considered for, and email us confidentially on Bhhc.clubsecretary@gmail.com by 6pm on Sunday, June 17.
