Quarter-finals screening at Bison Beer (North Laine) on Wednesday and Thursday at MoreSports launch party

Can't get tickets to the Women's Hockey World Cup? How about the next best thing - watching the matches live on a screen over a craft beer at one of Brighton's newest bars.

Brighton and Hove Hockey Club members are invited to the launch this week of a new initiative in the city which aims to promote the screening of women’s and alternative sports in bars (that is alternative to men’s football, which can be watched in most places).

The invitation to BHHC members comes from MoreSports, who have started by partnering with the new Bison Beer (North Laine) bar at 103 North Road, Brighton. On Wednesday August 1 MoreSports and Bison Beer are having a launch party at which they will be showing live the first two Women’s World Cup quarter-finals and the other two ties on the following night, when England will hopefully be playing. Games push back at 6pm and 8pm.

MoreSports have invited Brighton and Hove Hockey Club as "we think you would be the perfect crowd for this event and would really enjoy yourselves! There'll be some food tasters and drinks offers; all you have to do is turn up to Bison Beer on the evening of August 1 (and/or 2!) and head downstairs to The Hideout, where we will be screening the hockey."

The aim of the launch is to spread the word amongst people who might want MoreSports to show their sports at the Bison Beer (North Laine) Hideout bar.
