Build up to the new campaign begins with twice weekly sessions

Pre-season starts to get serious for Brighton and Hove Hockey Club's men's first and second team squads this evening in the build up to what everyone hopes will be another successful National League campaign.

Brighton and Hove finished a creditable fourth in the National League Conference East last season - their best performance yet - and will be looking to build on that as they embark on a fifth successive season at this elite level.

The senior squads begin training at 7.30pm on Thursday July 19 at the Blatchington Mill pitches and from next week they will work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Players are asked to arrive for 7pm to warm up with training at 7.30pm.

The pre-season fixture schedule has BHHC playing Havant on Sunday September 2 at 1pm at Blatchington, at Chichester on Saturday September 8 at noon, in the Plum Tournament over the weekend of September 15-16, and then home to Fareham at 3pm on Saturday September 22.

The first league game is away to Teddington on Sunday September 30.

Any prospective new players should contact either Rob Cornell or James Treadgold via email to bhhc.newmembers@gmail.com
