Take part in a Saturday morning 5km fun run in your blue club shirt with fellow members on Hove seafront

Fancy taking part in a Brighton and Hove Hockey Club 'parkrun takeover’ on the seafront next month?

New men's third team captain Andrew Bromley has come up with the idea of asking all BHHC members (all ages, playing and non-playing) to turn up to Hove Promenade parkrun on Saturday August 18 in their home (blue) BHHC club shirt.

Andrew says: "The parkrun is a 5k fun run that loads of BHHC members do already; however it would be great to co-ordinate a day and publicise the club some more."

It will also help with pre-season fitness or to run off any summer holiday excesses and get club members together in a fun environment. What's more it is free to enter - all you have to do is register if you haven't already.

The Lawns Café on Hove Promenade (at the bottom of First Avenue) at 8.45am on August 18 is the meeting point and time, Andrew says. The run starts at 9am. Contact him via Pitchero messaging and let him know you want to join in or for more details.

Parkrun is a series of 5km runs held on Saturday mornings in areas of open space around the UK. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. To register with parkrun UK is free and can be done by visiting www.parkrun.org.uk
