Three men's sides and under-14 girls win their finals, historic win for Vets

Brighton and Hove celebrated victory in four of the seven finals they contested at Sussex Cup Finals Day at Hurstpierpoint College on Saturday.

The girls under-14s and men's under-21s (who are pictured above) were convincing winners while the men's 4s were taken to penalty strokes before seeing off Chichester and the veterans - in claiming a record-equalling sixth successive triumph - were narrow victors over Worthing in an exciting game.

Captain Carlo Missirian's verdict on the men’s 4s triumph on penalty strokes after a 3-3 draw with Chichester: "Stonking game. End-to-end stuff. Cracking hattrick from Sam with superb finishing. 3-1 lead but conceded two late goals. Came through flicks eventually as Kenny kept his cool in sudden death after comedy effort by Doc to open proceedings. Great day and victory."

Congratulations to the BHHC winners and to those who made the finals.
