On August 15, Police Constable Andrew Harper died in the line of duty when run over by a car in Berkshire. He was 28 and had been married for just four weeks.

Several Brighton and Hove Hockey Club members in the police force will be attending the National Police Hockey Tournament on Saturday and Sunday (August 31/September 1), where a raffle is being held to raise money for PC Harper's family. This week, over 5,000 people nationwide took part in a run raising more than £24,000 for the Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and a fund set up by Thames Valley Police for the officer's family. Each person ran 7.605km, in recognition of PC Harper's collar number, 7605.

FUEL Hockey, the new kit suppliers to Brighton and Hove Hockey Club, has kindly made a donation to this weekend's raffle of a top-end stick, stick bag, shin pads, glove and some grips.

"The size of the donation was totally unexpected and extremely appreciated," says new BHHC Women's Membership Secretary Marie Jarvis. "FUEL has gone above and beyond and for this, we are very grateful and proud to be in partnership with them."

Raffle tickets are limited; however if you would like to donate here is a link to the just giving page:

"Thanks, FUEL Hockey you ROCK! #Fuelhockey # fuel #Shammyshack" says Marie.
