Two BHHC women's teams and one men's heading for Holland for the annual hockey, party and fun festival

The 40th PietJanKnor tournament is all about sportsmanship and conviviality. Are you ready for a weekend full of hockey, party and fun?

The dates are in so mark them in your diary and book a place with the Brighton and Hove HC contingent going to the 40th anniversary PietJanKnor hockey festival at the end of June in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.

Take the Friday and Monday off work is the advice from BHHC tour co-ordinator Monica Howlett as the group will be away from 12.15am on Friday June 28 and returning in the early hours of Monday July 1.

Monica has entered two women’s teams and one men’s team for BHHC in the annual Dutch festival of hockey, partying, live gigs and fun. Maximum numbers for the women’s teams are 28 and 16 for the men. Places are on a first come, first served basis!

James Jephcott is organising the men’s side and has a few places left. Please contact him ASAP to guarantee your place.

Cost is £250 per person.

"Travel is included," says Monica. "The tournament is on the Saturday and Sunday with an opening party Friday night and we leave at 5pm on Sunday getting back in the early hours on Monday morning. We camp on site so please bring a tent.

"Playing kit is included. All food is included with alcohol on the Saturday and Sunday so you will need additional cash for Friday and on the ferry.

"Please pay a non-refundable £100 deposit to me to secure your place, bank details same as previous years or available from me (contact details below). I will create a Facebook group and add you to it once payment has been received.

"Meet at the Crown & Anchor Pub at the bottom of Preston Drove in Brighton on Thursday night (June 27) from whenever you want to get there for a 12.15am pick-up by coach on Friday. Please bear in mind the driver can refuse admission onto the coach if you are too wasted and seatbelts are to be worn!"

Please contact Monica Howlett by phone 07786 075435 or email monica_howlett@hotmail.com for bank details and if you have any questions.
