Sheff Scores!!
Not quite the end of the season we would have liked a 6-2 defeat to Penguins, but Paul Sheffield did score his first ever goal in hockey, this is an amazing feat in itself after so many years of trying, but made even more amazing if you think that the master tactician club captain Thompo actually called the move. To recap the moment the 5s are awarded a free hit outside the D, Bondy is over the ball, Thompo sees Sheff on his left (double takes as Sheff is the rightback and should be on his right), then tells bondy to pass to Sheff who enters the D and passes the ball into the net a very simple plan executed to perfection by Sheff.
Race for top goalscorer 2009/10
The goal scoring race is over and some how Captain Ramzy has won with a meagre 7 goals, second place is Rob with 5. Both Rob and Ramzy have also played a number of games in defence which highlights the fact the 5s need to go on a centre forward hunt. Although up front we have had some decent performances with Will S scoring 3 in 2 games as did Tom Holt towards the end of the season, Ben Williams has 2 from 2 and Spears (yes Spears) has 2 from 3.
