Old Bordenian's 2's 3-2 Men's 3rd XI
Alex Lees Hat-trick Sensation puts Old Bordenians top of the table!
Big Alex claimed a hat trick on Saturday - unfortunately they were own goals. We think Alex is being a little too harsh on himself as unlike the first two, he didn’t get a touch on the third. Overall it was a tight game and Old B’s deserved the points. The difference being they scored three times from shorts we only managed one ‘Simpson special’ with Ed masterfully manipulating his slide rule. Ed was in fact showing off and playing to the two strong crowd (his girlfriend and Dad, who braved the lengthy 6 mile journey). Dave Delea turned in another quality performance, this time in his own shoes, preferring to not make it two weeks in Bondy’s Clown Shoes. He scored a great second goal.
Highlight of a dismal day for me was Dan playing 10 minutes of the second half with my stick - an easy mistake his being a blue Grays and mine a Red Dita.
