Crowborough 1's 3-1 Men's 3rd XI

Brighton travelled away for the first league game of the season to Crowborough. Making a promising start, Brighton had early control of the possession forcing a goal by Ade Farthing and defending like hell to keep Crowborough at bay. Eventually the 1’s side fitness began to show as Brighton looked off the pace and second to the ball on occasions. Crowboroughs three goals came from breaks that Brighton could not contain.

Having said that, up against a 1st XI team Brighton did not disgrace themseleves as they controlled the tempo of the game at times and looked to play the better hockey.

In their first outing in the newly restructured league which promises to be very strong and competitive, Brighton are now looking forward to the rest of the season.
