South Saxons 1's 6-5 Men's 3rd XI

South Saxons came to town looking for a second league win and Brighton hoping this would be their first. It was Brighton that scored first however South Saxons hit back immediately. This would be the pattern for the first half as both sides shared possession. 3-3 at half time either team looked like they could take the game and it was South Saxons that capitalised on some poor Brighton defending to take a two goal lead.

With the end of the game in sight a resurgent Brighton found the net twice with two Beglin screamers in the space of two minutes that gave Brighton a glimmer of hope that maybe a draw was salvageable. However it was not to be as Brighton once again let South Saxons run through the defence to grab a last gasp winner to end a thrilling high scoring game.
