South Saxons 1-0 Ladies' 6th XI
Well it was a very early 8.30 start this week setting off to Hastings with a hangover and not being able to read maps very well! It started raining but luckily only for a few minutes before the sun came out and we got there in good time.
Unfortunately, we never had a goalie but Elaine was kindly our replacement this week. It was 0-0 after the first half and we had the potential of wining. The defenders were doing a great job of keeping the ball out of the D.
Elaine did some awesome saves in the second half for us and we had some opportunities of scoring.... It was a very close game but unfortunately two minutes before the end South Saxons managed to sneak a goal in. We couldn't believe it!
I think we all did extremely well bearing in mind we had only 10 players. Good exercise and we had some help of a few junior's stamina, thanks to you all.
