Southwick 3-3 Ladies' 6th XI
Our first league game got off to a goaltastic start.
3-3
Well done to Chris, Heidi and Quita
Not noticing for most of the game that Southwick only had 9 players Brighton stormed the pitch and some great saves from Mieke (once she got her leg pads the right way round) stopped the score line going higher!
An ambiguous decision in the second half led to a penalty flick that had everyone (apart from Southwick) wondering why it was given!
Eilish (sorry if I’ve spelt it wrong) tried to even the score by throwing herself on the floor….that only works if you get the ball!
Quita even tried to copy this trick in the D…..shame she was on her own and should have gone for goal!
PS thanks for the oranges at half time Mieke.....you can play anytime!
