Chichester 3-3 Men's Veterans XI

Brighton draw 3-3 with Chichester in entertaining open game.

James had organised a good team and a new system with him taking the commanding central midfield role which kept him busy all match!

The game was played in a good spirit with both sides passing the ball well and attacking whenever possible. Brighton were very unfortunate when Stuart Bax, who has been having a very good season, was injured after only 10 minutes and Brigton with no sub played the rest of the half with 10 men. Chichester scord two first half goals but good movement forward and a crisp pass to Ben at the top of the D enabled him to hit the ball crisply past the goalie.

Fortunately Mat arrived to get Brighton back to full strength and well taken goals by Rob and Mat
enabled Brighton to go into the lead with 5 minutes to go. But Chichester kept going forward and equalised with about two minutes left.

Overall a good performance from Brighton and a match they could have won but good saves from the goalie and one of the line from a James A flick meant a point a piece.

Thanks to Mat , Nick for umpiring , and well played Hamish - good to have you back!
