Tunbridge Wells 4-3 Men's Veterans XI
Despite only having 10 players, after Tunbridge disappointingly insisted on one of our players umpiring despite having two substitutes, we play ed the much more fluid hockey.
The ball was passed around well and Ben put Brighton into the lead with a well taken goal.Brighton continued to push forward and from a short corner Terry managed to get the ball to bobble all the way into the net.
Shortly before half time Tunbridge pulled a goal back and after half time scored a second. Despite a growing tiredness Ben continued his solo long range runs and scored again to put Brighton 3-2 up.
As the match progressed having ten players took its toll and the accuracy of passing, level of covering, and level of clearing the ball at the back all waned and Tunbridge scored two gaols in the last few minutes.
