Eastbourne 2s 0-3 Ladies' 2nd XI
The Ladies 2s celebrated the last home game of the season by breaking out a brand new orange match ball for the occasion. Very exciting. To add to the fun, the team were treated to the sight of Coach Kev starring as super sub for the Mens 1s, and showing us all how it's done.
Th excitement was only slightly diminished by the arrival of two hangovers in the defensive half of the team - no names... After some rapid rehydration during the warm up, things were looking better.
The usual suspects;Emily, Lyric, Jac, Donna, Hannah, Ellie, Tara, Kath, Sarah and Gina were joined by star forward Sarah H who fitted into the team from the whistle. After the first few minutes of the game, the passing was working well and the team scored 3 goals in rapid succession, with the moves being finished by Gina, Sarah H and Tara. Nice work.
After half time Eastbourne fought back well and Brighton's aim of doubling the scoreline wasn't met, despite the team's best efforts. Final score was 3-0 to Brighton and Donna was complimented by the umpire for good behaviour..!
