Horsham 2's 2-2 Men's 3rd XI
Scorers: Neil Beglin and Skipper Simpson.
The first game back after Christmas promised much but delivered little. Brighton went a goal down against the run of play and then Begs hit a cracking shot from the top of the D whilst running away from goal to equalise. We scored again after the skipper hit the ball at an angle through a group of players - they all missed it and it went in the goal anyway.
It got worse from here on. The highlight was the 2 Dan's bickering after a short corner routine failed (again) - Dan "that wasn't the plan!" Hacking and Dan "Skip" Simpson put it down to a communication problem!
Horsham equalised before the end of the game finishing what was sure to be the worst performance by the 3's this season (it was so bad, even the 4's mentioned it in their match report!!).
