So Laurie may be a genuine polymath in the making (look it up), but his personal organisation may let his genius down! (we all heard you commit to completing this match report Laurie).
The lack of a match report on the Holcombe site might suggest that they were not happy with their performance- as did the lengthy post match team talk. But Holcombe shouldn't feel too down hearted, they came up against a Brighton side in great form. If I had a pound for every time someone said to me "next time please don't bring Graham Pruce /no. 145/ that talented git in the middle ..." I'd have exactly £7.26p.
There were many pleasing aspects to our performance: Paul at Sweeper was fantastic, Laurie did brilliantly, Dave Delea awesome, Duncan with a well taken opener, Scopesy with a deft touch for his goal, Prucey... well say no more, in fact everyone contributed well and stuck to the cause. In fact the most pleasing aspect was the cohesive, determined and resolute work we produced together... even though our lead kept getting pegged back.
Sevenoaks (leaders) will have a job on their hands this Saturday
