Chichester 4-1 Men's 5th XI
A very new look team, and not a great start to the Famous Five’s league campaign.
Half the team got extensively lost in Chichester and only arrived just in time for the match (great idea Captain Swampy get College to map read!!).
Understandably we started slowly and conceded early doors. After 15 minutes we started to play good hockey and equalised through a top finish from debutant Rob Chilvers.
We matched Chichester and the score remained one all until half way through the second half. Chichester overpowered us in the last quarter after we conceded an unfortunate own goal (sorry Tim), and then Chi scored 2 more goals despite some good saves from Pete Stevens.
Some promising team play despite a new look squad. Will Wells was very composed at left back against a skilful winger. Men of the match, new boys, Rob Chilvers and James Jephcott.
