Crowborough 3 1-3 Men's 6th XI

Scorers: Mike Henderson, Josh Davey, Ollie Arkaah.

Although Brighton ultimately sealed a comfortable win to go second in the table, the Sixes got off to their usual start by gifting their opposition an early goal. The biggest centre forward in Sussex slotting home an unneccessarily conceded short corner.

After a period of sustained pressure and several missed chances, Brighton finally levelled when Hendo broke into the D and drove a low shot inside the near post. After levelling, Brighton took control, Howie lead the line to great effect and was extremely unlucky with a clever reverse flick that was well saved by the keeper. Pressure finally told when Josh finished from close range to put Brighton 2-1 up at the break.

The second half continued in a similar vein, Brighton defending confidently and creating a number of chances from wide positions, with Hendo and Ollie looking dangerous on both wings and Dipak anchoring the midfield. Brighton finally secured the result with an excellent team goal, Owen attacking from Right Back, beating his man and slipping the ball to Hendo whose cross was met by Ollie on the far post, finishing well despite close marking.

Ollie's Afro Watch - 5 cm of clearance with some indication of blow drying.
