Middleton and Bognor 2s 2-1 Ladies' 5th XI
Firstly I want to say thanks to those who played in this game - to go to meet the top of the table team with only 10 players is not much fun. All those who played were fantastic, showed true determination and really did us proud as a team and a club.
To then go down to 9 players due to injury (Jo is fine, after a good glueing by the hospital we might see her next week - take care Jo!) and still to play on, holding off a very good team AND to score as well was amazing! Congratulations to Mandy for her first goal for the club - probably something to do with those long legs (or did you just put the defence off!). Well done!
I think that despite the score-board we can all be very pleased with our efforts and it goes to show what we can achieve when we do play well.
