Holcombe 0-5 Men's 3rd XI
The skipper had magically pulled together a magnificent squad this week to greet Holcombe at home. Following a disastrous performance against them away at the start of the season, the 3's were eager to prove to themselves that they could turn it on when it mattered.
The excitement and anticipation was rife. We were all set for this battle and were looking forward to celebrating our 8 - 0 victory at the beach party (which was already very very messy).
WE WERE ROBBED!
Alas, it wasn't to be. Holcombe couldn't get a team together for whatever reason and we ONLY won 5 - 0 as a result. GUTTED!
