Starlings (girls)

The training will commence from 12 Sept 2017 through to 3 May 2018 and takes place at Blatchington Mill School astro pitches.

All our training sessions are led by qualified coaches supported by senior players from the Club. During half-term breaks in the season we'll be holding hockey camps.
-----------
TRAINING DAY & TIME TO BE CONFIRMED - CHECK WITH TEAM MANAGER ( goalkeepers train on Tues at 6:30pm to 7:30pm ); Matches against other teams take place on Saturdays/Sundays.
Players must wear suitable sports kit (layers recommended for cold/wet weather) and good trainers/astro-turf trainers.
Shin-pads, mouth-guard and own stick are required.
To be selected for fixtures - attendance at training is essential.

U16 and over 'performance training' by invitation only session for boys and girls (years 8 and over): 6:30 - 7:30 (Thursday evenings).
The performance training sessions (Thurs) will be strictly by invitation only - so if a player is not on the relevant register, they will not be able to take part. ONLY Jon and Wendy (senior coaches) will decide who can attend these sessions. These identified individuals are expected (must) also attend their age group training session as well.

Fees for the 2017/18 season will be:
- Annual subs (Sept to May) - £95 per child
- Annual sub (second or more sibling) - £90 per child
- Half year sub (Sept - Dec or Jan - May) - £50 per child
Note: No sibling discount for half season subs; GKs with their own purchased kit will not have to pay annual subs.

Registration payments are to be made via the payments section of the website. Please ensure you 'tag' the payment to your child's name. Click PAYMENTS

Parent/guardian MUST REGISTER on-line (Join our Club) and enrol their child (using the Apply for Parent role function). ALL registration details must be completed. Incomplete details may result in relevant child not being selected for matches.
. We also need parents to help out, so please let us know if you would be willing to volunteer - especially coordinating junior teams for matches.

Training kit
All juniors should wear sports kit and should take into account weather conditions (i.e. water-proofs, gloves/beanie hats for wet / cold conditions). Layers of kit are recommended. Additionally good trainers for astro-turf surface. We have hockey sticks and balls for all age groups.

For juniors over 8 year old it is a requirement to wear a mouth-guard and shin-pads; for those under 8 we recommend the same. BHHC cannot accept responsibility for injuries resulting from not wearing them.

A bottle of water is also recommended (parents may want to bring along a hot drink on cold weekday evenings or Sunday mornings !)

Safeguarding details can be found >> SAFEGUARDING
